A stag party is a night of fun that often takes place before a groom’s wedding. Women also have a similar party that will often take place before the Big Day. If you are partly responsible to make a stag party happen you may want to read more about this type of event.
Whether this party is for a bride or for a groom to be it often involves a variety of activities that usually take place while a person still is single. This particular party could involve any number of games, adventures, and club visiting, as well as fine dining. Each stag party is designed to the spouse-to-be’s liking.
Usually a stag party is in reference to man, and includes a stag night which involves frequenting clubs who feature half-naked ladies, as well as up-to-date dancing. However, similar activities have been often organized for women as well.
A stag party is often located partially in a limo, seeing how many limos allow passengers to carry alcohol on board. Often the use of a limo is one of the safest ways to enjoy a stag party, because the transportation is left up to a driver who is (hopefully) not drinking heavily.
Some of the daytime activities that take place before the night time stag party often take place on the water or the beach. Some may prefer to relax while others prefer to swim or to take part in wind surfing. Yet others may take a long walk along the shore.
Other daytime activities that often are included in stag parties include clay pigeon shooting, paint balling, indoor karting (like the American go karts), or bicycling. Some may just prefer to take a day hiking trip, or just take a tour ride.
The types of activities that make up a stag party depend upon the actual people planning the party. It is meant to be the best dream party possible, especially for the groom.
Stag parties are typically a European thing. However, they are very similar to what America calls a bachelor or bachelorette party. The principal is generally the same, and often involves dancing, making a toast to the groom to be, and often at least one person having just a little too much fun. (Read between the lines.)
If a group is planning a European stag party, there are many different locations where these events typically occur. The person in charge of setting up the bride or groom-to be’s party can easiest plan the whole event by way of the Internet.
If a person wants to have a European stag party planned in a specific city, for example, that person can search for the name of the city such as Sheffield stag weekends”. This will help point the party planner (usually the best man or someone else in the wedding party) in the right direction. In fact, there are maps to hotels and other stag party destinations available online as well.
If you are one of the persons responsible for making this party happen, you may want to do some research and help make this event as special as possible. Remember, this is mean to symbolize a bride or groom’s last hurrah” of their single life before they start their new married life. It is a big change, and having a stag party is meant to hopefully make that transition much easier.
