Why Branding for Logos, Business Branding for Companies? by Andrew blake
Business branding is a key to every great business’ success. Every company wants everyone to recognize their company by just the logo. Branding is a technique where a company displays their logo, tag, and other forms of identity in order for the customers to link their name with not just their product, but eventually all products in that category. By this, recognition of a business brand will draw more customers and eventually help the business succeed.
Brands have a great impact on the public, children and adults alike, than something viewed as generic or a commodity. Perfect examples are the ingredients found in your kitchen. You can’t find a generic table salt instead you will find a branded one.
The idea of this technique is that if someone sees a company logo, color scheme, or set of words enough times, the human body will record it and embed it into their minds so that when he or she has a need for that particular product or service, the company will be the first that comes out of their mind.
Everyone used to think that it was a waste of money to put up billboards especially if no one really looks at it. But if someone drives past that billboard at least once a day, chances that someone will remember the billboard and the company even if they did not look at the billboard everyday. In some research, it had been reported that children can recognize about a thousand brand logo, but only 10 plants!
If you are planning to have a small business, you should consider branding your logo to ensure an increase of business’ visibility and market of your products and services. You should make people think of your company when they are in need of the products and/or services that you are offering.
Designing a business logo is not an easy job. A business logo should reflect a style that is conducive to the business line of work. For example, a day care center logo should look child-friendly, while first class restaurants and hotels should come up with an elegant style logo. You would also consider the fonts, images and colors that would be associated with the list of traits of your business. For example, a comic font may be good for the planner of a child’s birthday party but not for a law firm where a formal one will be considered.
