New iPod Touches can check email, view maps with directions, and jump to various Web applications using convenient icons on the home screen. Navigation of the music, video, and photo menus is identical on the touch and the iPhone. Preliminary research on the program found students were more willing to come to school, did more homework and used their iPods more than laptops or desktop computers.
